Family is family is family

Danna said it perfectly "are we not all brothers and sisters from the same father?". I couldn't agree more, as the holidays approach I am hearing a lot of "lets do this with family" or "they are not family so why are they coming". And if I can be perfectly honest I'M SICK OF IT! I thought a lot about it today and decided to look up the definition of family, just in case my personal definition was way off. I was surprised to find this:
Fam-i-ly
a) A fundamental social group consisting of parents, children, grandparents esc.
b) People who share goals and values, have long term commitments to one another, and share a common compassion for one another.
c) A group of persons sharing similar heritage
d) A group of like things
I love "a group of like things". I'm reminded of when my dad said once that he only excepts people as family if he can define how they are related in one sentence or less...That's easy enough for me. I love everyone in my life blood relative or not. So this Christmas Jer and I have decided everyone is welcome to join us you are ALL family and we would love to share the celebration of the birth of our savior with you!

Just Mommy and Me!

The sweetest kisses in the whole wide world (well its a close tie between him and his daddy)

He likes it when we hang him upside down lol...so funny

What s beautiful baby boy!!

He loves it when I make my piggy noise, so that what I'm doing here :)

I figured since he puts his toes in his mouth all the time, they must taste good, so maybe mine do too! (by the way ... they don't) I am usually the one behind the camera so the countless hours I spend during the day with my handsome little man I feel as though he wont believe me when I tell him when I spent so much time with him as a baby. So yesterday I refused to be behind the camera but rather HAM it up!!

Feeling truly merry

Today Jer and I had Connie over for dinner, and to watch the Christmas devotional from the first presidency. I loved president Hinkleys talk, he said "How grateful I am to the people around me who are so kind, how different the world would be if all people were treated as well as I am. It makes one especially grateful for Christmas, when our hearts are softened as we seek to lighten the burdens of others. We go about saying marry Christmas to all we meet, Merry may be the wrong word more importantly we might say 'it is Christmas time, what can I do to help you? Are your burdens to heavy, is your sorrow to painful?' This world is full of sorrowful people..." that hit me hard that my simple miss fortunes or things that have me down are somewhat petty and selfish when there are people without heat this holiday season, people who don't have gifts under their tree or food in there bellies. The holidays are fun
I am the luckiest person in the whole world I have SO many blessings and the best little family in the world. I have a husband who loves me and treats me like a queen, I have a little man who is our everything and we are his. So I am really going to try and remember that Christmas is about remembering the birth of our savior and just as he sacrificed himself for us, I will try to better sacrifice my time for others. I love you all Merry Christmas!

Computer Boy

I needed to use Jer's computer table for a party I was having today and so Jer had to put the computer on the ground. Kohen was laying on the ground next to Jer when he was on the computer, all of a sudden Kohen had scooted his way to the keyboard and was slamming his fists on it. Jer put word on and let Kohen go to town. He was having so so so much fun. So I figured I would put him next to me here on the floor and let him type a few words.
