Christmas Tag

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Wrapping paper...I love the look of packages under the tree.
2. Real tree or Artificial? Real, but this year I bought a fake (3ft) since we will not be home, and I love it it is perfect and so cute!
3. When do you put up the tree? The Saturday after thanksgiving...I grew up with tree procrastinators (see my parents blog who have yet to get a tree) so I want my kids to have more than a week to enjoy the tree.
4. When do you take the tree down? Jer is a day after Christmas kinda guy (bah-humbug) I like to keep it up till new years.
5. Do you like eggnog? ABSOLUTELY!
6. Favorite gift received as a child? I don't know that I had a favorite, but I always got a barbie from my dad and a new pair of PJ's from my mom and I always looked forward to that
7. Hardest person to buy for? My mother-in-law!!!!
8. Easiest person/people to buy for? My Mom :)
9. Do you have a nativity set? Yes, one my grandma made (I love it!! It is SO my taste)
10. Mail or email Christmas cards? Phone calls :)
11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? An ex-boyfriend was dating me and another girl at the same time and I found out because he got us the SAME EXACT GIFT!!
12. Favorite Christmas Movie? ELF!
13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? I started in September this year, but usually on "black" Friday
15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? My Grandma's Orange Rolls!
16. Lights on the tree? LOTS!
17. Favorite Christmas song? Baby its cold outside and Christmas in the northwest (that song is so awful...but I love to hear it cause if I'm with Jer he makes up his own words)
18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? Never been away till this year :)
19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer's? Yes (the question just asked if I could...did not specify that I had to)
20. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? I like to open them ALL on Christmas morning (the way I was raised) but jer likes to open one on Christmas eve...so we compromised and do it his way :)
21. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? Not finding a box the right size for your packages!!
22. Favorite ornament theme or color? We do Coca-Cola Christmas :) Silver and Red baby!

O Christmas tree!!

I have felt more Christmas spirit and more anxious this year then I have for a long while. It is not just the snow that is on the ground all around my home, it is not my cute 3 ft tree that is decorated with my favorite holiday colors, and it is not the gifts that I have worked so diligently to make for each friend and family member...no it is the joy I get from seeing, doing and receiving service. I am so impressed with this time of year and peoples ability to give. I love giving service and get great satisfaction out of making someones day a little better. Jeremiah, Kohen, Jonas, and I have been the recipients of so much care and Christlike service this past year. I only pray that I can keep this giving spirit with me the whole year through. Merry Christmas everyone!!

Dinner with the Obama's

I had a dream a few nights ago that we had the Obama's over for dinner. Now for those of you who do not know I did not vote for Pres. elect Obama, but it seemed to be a very nice dinner. In my dream Michelle Obama was very pleasant wand their children were very well behaved, but Pres. Obama made me really upset. All along he has preached "change" (which scares me to be honest...but that another story)...Anyway so I asked him about this "change" he speaks of, and what his plans were for our current economy...and he ignored me! Now mind you this was a dream, but I woke up so furious.

So if you had dinner with the Obama's what would your question(s) be for our future President?

If anyone has been trying to get a hold of me and cant...don't feel like I'm avoiding you...my phone took a bath with Kohen yesterday morning. I am drying it out on a paper towel for a few days in hopes that i can salvage it. I love that phone and more than that I have ALL my phone numbers in it. I really need to write them down.

Counting down the days...

Jonas loves his mommy there is no question about it...but what you may not know is that this little man will snuggle with anyone who will snuggle back. He is such a sweet boy!

Only 16 days until Christmas and more importantly only 14 days until we leave for IDAHO...We get to spend 2 WEEKS with my parents and my siblings. I am so BEYOND excited. The whole family gets to be there for Jonas and Jaxons' first Christmas and to see Kohen enjoy opening his presents!!

We have noticed that Kohen has become a little more jealous of Jonas. When I am nursing he tends to have some dire emergency that he freaks out and needs help with. He loves Jonas, just doesn't love Jonas being with his mommy.

Holiday spirit!

I love the holidays people are so giving and kind. The boys and I were out and about tonight and when we came home this was on our door step :)
