Up to...

I'm sorry for the lack of posts lately, we have been very busy. I'll fill you in! I went to take a picture of Kohen sitting down all cute and posed next to the fence but before I could get the right angle...poof he was gone. :) but still a fun shot I think.
For my Dad's 50th birthday party (post on that SOON) we bought a pirate boat. Kohen and
his friend Dashul had a blast on it yesterday before it started to rain.

Jonas is eating Cheerios. I cant believe how much this little man has grown up!!

Discover..Discover..Discover

His first eater egg hunt at our friends house (April 4th) He didn't quite get what the point was until daddy showed him the candy inside...than it was down to business.

Jonas does so many new things. He is sitting up and playing with toys!

This is our friend, Behr Gordon. I love this picture of him...
Spiked hair looking all bad with his french fry. And the most dazzling blue eyes!

kohen and his friend Dashul are made out of the same mold...TROUBLE MAKERS!
Here they are..the time out twins lol.

Jonas has become a MAJOR Daddy's boy.
He loves his daddy and lights up when daddy gets home.

He doesn't look like a preemie anymore...I love his cheeks and double chin :)
Playing Video games with daddy is the best! (what did I tell you he is a Daddy's boy!)

Jonas loves to grab for the camera when I am taking pictures of him.

Kohen's new obsession...jumping into pictures of his brother.

Mommy and Jonas taking a Sunday nap.

My boys are WONDERFUL to each other.. Kohen is a great big brother and Jonas LOVES to watch his big brother. I know he cant wait to be able to keep up.

Jonas was trying to give Kohen snuggles and Kohen thought Jonas was trying to wrestle.

He crawls....backwards!?

I love this picture. Getting ready for a walk.

Bath Buddies!!

I cant believe how fast Kohen has grown up. He is such a big boy! He says so many new words, runs, laughs, plays and gets in trouble :) I love my little mischief maker!

Feb 28th is the day I noticed Jonas got his first tooth! Bottom left!
Since then he has grown in 4 more for a grand total of 5!!!!!
Jonas loves his bumbo and his big boy food. He loves bananas, sweet potato's, and applesauce.
I have recently started to make all my baby food its just easier on the wallet and I enjoy knowing that he is getting fresh homemade meals :) (plus no preservatives yippee!!)

Politically Active

I never paid much attention to politics nor did I see the interest, but that all changed with the marriage to my sweetheart and also with the birth of our two beautiful boys. Today I stood along side 4000 fellow Americans, outside our Oregon state capitol to voice our opinion. It felt great to be able to know that there are still so many others out there with family values and a hope for this country we love. To know that others see that our freedom and constitution is hanging by a thread. I was interviewed by a reporter and it felt great to know that I was aware and knew what I was there to support (or not support) and what I was there to stand for...My children's future. My next quest..how can I become MORE politically involved!?

Tax Day Tea Party

When the people fear their government, there is tyranny;
when the government fears the people, there is liberty.
-Thomas Jefferson

Democrat, Republican, Independent...It is not about the party's, it is about the principles. The building blocks on which this country was built is being shaken and I am done sitting back and letting it pass me by. I am a SILENT MAJORITY no more!! Wednesday April 15th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m you will find me on the steps of our capital voicing my opinion, standing up for what I believe. It is not about the parties, it is not about the criminals in our government, it is about my country changing into something that I fear. It is about my children's future. I am inviting you to join me and many many of my friends and family to stand up for what we know to be right and true.

Take a look at these websites to help you better understand the April 15th Tax Day Tea Party:

Collision insurance from a scattered mind.

I just finished watching one of my favorite chick flicks (Becoming Jane). As i finished i had a thought..How often do we take for granted the agency we are given to marry for love, not for social gain or money. It also leads me to my next thought, we are given rules even though we have free agency....Why?

In seminary I saw a video on free agency. It starts with a young man talking to his seminary teacher about free agency. He gave the justification that he didn't need to listen to the council and rules of his parents because he has his own free agency, The teacher and the young man next appear in a car driving. As they drive along you notice road signs, speed limits, passing zone, no passing zone, stop... very suddenly as a semi approaches it swerves into his lane. The young man has to quickly pull to the side of the road to avoid a head on collision. As he pulls over he yells "hey he broke the law". The teacher smiles and says "but he has his free agency.

As young adults we think we know all the world has in store (or at least i felt that way and i applaud those of you who didn't). As a parent I know I wish for all the happiness for my children and I will do all in my ability to steer them away from heartache and loneliness. It is not always easy to remember as a young man or women that rules are not there to make us miserable but to keep us going on the right road and not heading for a "collision" . Just a thought i wanted to share...

To be a big brother you have to...

To be a big brother you have to...1. Make sure your little brother is not playing with your favorite toy
(What ever toy Jonas has is Kohens favorite toy and the toy he must have at that moment)
2. Realise you made your brother cry and say
"I sorry bubba" followed up with tons of kisses.

3. Tell Mama why we took the toy away from bubba..."mine"
have Mama explain that we share all our toys.
4. Be forgiven and the toy is forgotten
